Buyer Agreement
Last updated May 16, 2026
Quick summary
EscrowWays protects you when you buy. Your payment is held safely by the platform until you confirm you received what you paid for. In return, you agree to follow some basic rules — mainly, don't bypass the dispute system, don't file chargebacks with your bank, and be honest about what you received. This page explains your rights and responsibilities as a buyer on Pakistan's escrow-protected digital marketplace.
Who can buy on EscrowWays
To open a buyer account on EscrowWays, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide a valid mobile number we can verify
- Use accurate personal details (name, email, address) we can reach you at
- Complete CNIC verification if you plan to spend more than PKR 10,000 in a single transaction or PKR 50,000 in a month (required by Pakistani anti-money-laundering rules)
- Have a working bank account, mobile wallet, or supported payment method
- Agree to this Buyer Agreement, our Acceptable Use Policy, and our Terms of Service
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. Don't share your password or two-factor codes with anyone. If your account is accessed without your permission, contact support@escrowways.com immediately.
How buying on EscrowWays works
The escrow process protects both you and the seller. Here's exactly what happens when you buy:
- Browse listings — search for digital products or services you want
- Place an order — click "Buy Now" or send a quote request for custom services
- Your payment moves into escrow — funds are taken from your wallet or chosen payment method and held safely by EscrowWays. The seller does NOT receive money yet.
- Seller accepts and delivers — sellers have a deadline (usually 60 minutes for instant goods, longer for custom services) to accept your order and deliver. If they don't accept in time, the order auto-expires and you get a full refund.
- You receive the delivery — most digital deliveries appear in your order page or email. Verify it works.
- You confirm receipt — click "Confirm receipt" on your order page. Funds are released to the seller (minus our 2% commission).
- Or auto-release happens — if you don't open a dispute within the dispute window (typically 24 hours after delivery), the funds auto-release to the seller automatically.
You can track every order's status in real time from your buyer dashboard.
Payment methods and pricing
What we accept
- JazzCash mobile wallet
- EasyPaisa mobile wallet
- SadaPay mobile banking
- Bank transfer (IBFT to our designated account)
- Debit / credit cards through our payment gateway partner (where available)
- Wallet balance from previous top-ups or refunds
What you pay
You pay the listed price of the item. The seller may also include delivery fees or service charges in the listing — these are shown clearly before you confirm the order. EscrowWays does not charge buyers a separate fee for using the platform; our commission comes from the seller's side.
When you pay
Payment is taken from your selected method when you place the order, not when the seller accepts. This is what makes escrow work — your money is locked in before the seller starts working.
Currency
Primary currency is Pakistani Rupees (PKR). Some international listings may be in USD or other currencies; the equivalent PKR amount will be calculated at the current exchange rate and shown to you before checkout.
Delivery expectations
Different products have different delivery times. The listing shows the seller's commitment. As a rule:
- Instant digital goods (codes, gift cards, license keys) — typically delivered within 30 to 60 minutes
- Email-activation products (account access) — typically delivered within 1 to 24 hours
- Custom services (design, writing, programming) — delivery time agreed in the quote, usually 1 to 14 days
- Subscription transfers — typically 2 to 24 hours
You'll get a notification (email and in-platform) when the seller marks the order as delivered. Open your order page and verify the delivery before confirming receipt.
Confirming receipt and releasing funds
After the seller delivers, you have 24 hours (the dispute window) to either confirm receipt or open a dispute. During this window:
- Confirm receipt if everything is fine — click the "Confirm receipt" button on your order page. The seller is paid immediately.
- Open a dispute if something is wrong — see the Disputes section below.
- Do nothing — after 24 hours, the platform automatically releases funds to the seller. This is called auto-release and it's how the escrow system stays moving.
If you genuinely need more time to verify a large or complex delivery, you can request a one-time extension from your order page. The seller has to agree.
Disputes — when something goes wrong
If you don't get what you paid for, or the item doesn't work as described, open a dispute through your order page. Do this within 24 hours of delivery; after auto-release, disputes become much harder to resolve.
Valid reasons to open a dispute
- The seller never delivered (after they marked the order as delivered)
- The code, key, or credentials don't work
- The item is significantly different from the listing description
- The account or subscription was suspended shortly after delivery
- The seller delivered the wrong product
- The delivery is incomplete (missing parts, fewer items than ordered)
What evidence to provide
- Screenshots of error messages or failed login attempts
- Video recordings if helpful (e.g., showing a code being rejected)
- Email or chat history with the seller
- Specific reference to which part of the listing description was not met
What happens next
- The seller is notified and has 24 hours to respond with their side
- Our admin team reviews both sides' evidence
- A decision is made within 48 hours of the dispute opening
- Possible outcomes: full refund to you, partial refund, or release to seller if your dispute is found invalid
If you disagree with the dispute decision, you can request a senior admin review within 48 hours. Senior review decisions are final.
Refunds
When you're entitled to a refund, here's how it works:
- Refunds are processed through the EscrowWays dispute system, not your bank
- The refund amount is credited to your EscrowWays wallet first
- From your wallet, you can use the balance for future purchases or withdraw to your original payment method
- Withdrawal processing takes 1 to 3 business days depending on your bank or mobile wallet provider
- Partial refunds may apply when only part of the order was incorrect
- You won't be charged any fee for refunds
Refunds are not available after the auto-release window unless you can prove fraud or a clear seller violation. Always open a dispute promptly.
Important: no chargebacks
This is one of the most important rules on EscrowWays.
You agree not to initiate a chargeback through your bank, credit card issuer, or payment provider before opening a platform dispute and going through our process first.
Here's why this matters:
- Chargebacks bypass our dispute system entirely
- They harm sellers who may have legitimately delivered what you paid for
- They create losses for the platform that ultimately affect every user
- Most payment processors charge a fee per chargeback, which we may pass on
If you file an unauthorized chargeback:
- Your account will be suspended pending review
- We may pursue recovery of the chargeback amount through legal channels
- You may be permanently banned from EscrowWays
- The case may be reported to fraud-protection databases used by other platforms
If you have a problem, open a dispute on the platform first. We resolve disputes fairly and within 48 hours. There is no situation where a chargeback is faster or better than working with us.
Your responsibilities as a buyer
When you use EscrowWays as a buyer, you agree to:
Be honest
- Don't claim non-delivery when you actually received the item
- Don't open disputes about issues the seller fully resolved
- Don't pressure sellers into refunds outside the platform's process
- Don't manipulate evidence in dispute submissions
Communicate respectfully
- Reply to seller messages within 24 hours when an issue is being resolved
- No insults, threats, harassment, or discriminatory language toward sellers
- Don't share another buyer's order details or personal information
- Keep all communication on the EscrowWays platform — not WhatsApp, not personal email
Don't bypass the platform
- Don't try to negotiate off-platform deals to avoid commission
- Don't ask sellers to provide bank details or wallet numbers for direct payment
- Don't share login details to delivered accounts with people outside the order
- Don't resell items you bought here without checking if resale is allowed
Use your account responsibly
- Don't create multiple buyer accounts to manipulate ratings or bypass limits
- Don't share your login with friends or family
- Don't use stolen payment methods or compromised wallet credentials
- Don't use bots or automated tools to place orders
Reviews and feedback
After your order is complete, you can leave a review of the seller. Honest reviews help the community trust real sellers and avoid bad ones.
How to leave a good review
- Base your rating on your actual experience with this order
- Don't review based on things outside the seller's control (your internet, your device, a service provider's outage)
- Be specific — "code worked instantly" is more useful than "great"
- If something went wrong, mention it factually without exaggerating
What's not allowed in reviews
- Fake reviews — leaving feedback for orders you didn't actually receive
- Paid reviews — accepting money or items in exchange for positive feedback
- Retaliation reviews — leaving negative reviews because of a dispute outcome you disagree with
- Personal attacks, hate speech, or threats
- Sharing other users' personal information
- Promoting other sellers or off-platform contacts
Reviews can be edited within 24 hours of submission. After that, they're permanent. We may remove reviews that violate these rules.
What EscrowWays commits to you
In return for your trust as a buyer, we promise:
- To hold your payment safely in escrow until you confirm receipt or auto-release happens
- To process disputes fairly, transparently, and within stated timeframes
- To protect your personal and financial data per our Privacy Policy
- To resolve issues within stated timeframes (24-48 hours for most disputes)
- To verify sellers and remove fraudulent listings as quickly as we can
- To provide platform stability, security, and uptime to the best of our ability
- To improve the platform based on user feedback
- To communicate clearly when policies, prices, or features change
What EscrowWays is NOT responsible for
We do our best, but some things are outside our control. We are not responsible for:
- The intrinsic quality of products beyond what's promised in the listing (we mediate disputes, we don't guarantee subjective quality)
- Internet outages, power failures, or service interruptions on your side
- Acts beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, government shutdowns, third-party service failures)
- Third-party service issues — for example, if Netflix bans the account you bought, that's between you and the seller (under the streaming-account proof-of-ownership rules)
- Lost passwords or forgotten two-factor codes — use the recovery flow on the login page
- Items you bought that you couldn't use because of your own choices (wrong region selected, wrong device, etc.)
- Indirect losses or business losses caused by an order issue (we cap liability at the order value)
Account suspension and closure
If you want to close your account
- You can request account closure from your settings page anytime
- Any pending orders must complete or be canceled first
- Any wallet balance will be returned to your original payment method (or held for 90 days if we can't refund)
- Your account data is retained for at least 5 years per legal requirements, then deleted
If we close your account
- You'll receive an email explaining the reason
- Pending orders are resolved fairly (refunds to you if you were wronged, releases to sellers if they did their part)
- Your wallet balance is returned minus any amounts owed to other users from disputes
- You may not create a new account on EscrowWays after closure
Common reasons for involuntary closure: fraud, repeated rule violations, unauthorized chargebacks, harassment of sellers, or any pattern of bad-faith behavior.
Pakistani law
EscrowWays operates from Pakistan and follows applicable local laws, including those covering electronic transactions, consumer protection, digital commerce, and anti-money-laundering. As a buyer, your transactions are subject to Pakistani law, and any disputes that go beyond our platform process would be heard in Pakistani courts.
If you're buying from outside Pakistan, you're still bound by this Buyer Agreement and Pakistani law applies to your account.
Updates to this agreement
We may update this Buyer Agreement from time to time. When we do:
- Material changes are announced at least 14 days before taking effect
- You'll receive an email and an in-platform notification
- Continued use of the platform after the change date means you accept the new version
- If you disagree, you can close your account before the change takes effect
The date at the top of this page tells you when it was last updated. Older versions of this agreement are kept on record and available on request.

Frequently asked questions
How is my money protected when I buy on EscrowWays?
Your payment is held by EscrowWays in escrow when you place an order. The seller does not get the money until you confirm you received what you paid for, or until the auto-release window passes. If the seller fails to deliver, you get a full refund automatically.
When does the seller actually get paid?
The seller gets paid when one of three things happens: (1) you click "Confirm receipt," (2) the 24-hour dispute window passes without you opening a dispute, or (3) a dispute is resolved in the seller's favor.
What if the seller doesn't deliver?
If the seller doesn't accept your order within the acceptance window (usually 60 minutes), you get a full automatic refund. If they accept but don't deliver, you can open a dispute and get a refund after admin review.
Can I cancel an order after I pay?
You can cancel for a full refund any time before the seller marks the order as delivered, as long as the seller hasn't started custom work. For custom services where the seller has already invested time, you may receive a partial refund.
Can I use a credit card to buy?
Yes, where our payment gateway partner supports it. The funds still go through escrow — your card is charged at order placement, and the money is held by us until confirmed.
What if the digital code I received doesn't work?
Open a dispute within 24 hours of delivery. Include a screenshot of the error message. Our admin reviews evidence and refunds you if the code is genuinely invalid.
Can I get a refund after I confirmed receipt?
Once you click "Confirm receipt," the transaction is final and the seller has been paid. You can only get a refund after confirmation in exceptional circumstances (the item was fraudulent in a way you couldn't detect immediately). Always verify before confirming.
Why can't I just file a chargeback with my bank?
Because EscrowWays already protects you through escrow. Chargebacks bypass our process and harm sellers who delivered legitimately. If you have a problem, open a dispute on the platform. Filing a chargeback before going through our dispute process may result in account suspension.
Can I sell items I bought on EscrowWays?
It depends on what you bought. Some items (gift cards, license keys) may have terms that prohibit resale. Check the original product's terms. If resale is allowed, you can list it on EscrowWays as a seller.
Is my CNIC information safe?
Yes. CNIC details are encrypted at rest and only used for KYC verification and legal compliance. We don't share them with sellers or use them for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What if I lose access to my account?
Use the password recovery option on the login page. If you've lost access to your two-factor codes too, email support@escrowways.com with your account email — we'll verify your identity and help you regain access.
Do I have to pay any fees as a buyer?
EscrowWays doesn't charge buyers a platform fee. The seller pays our 2% commission from their proceeds. You only pay the listed price plus any seller-stated fees (delivery, custom work).
By using EscrowWays.com as a buyer, you agree to this Buyer Agreement.
Thank you for trusting Pakistan's escrow-protected marketplace.
